like every other movie shoot. We had one deleted scene too which didn't make the final cut. Fortunately we had only one deleted scene and the rest of them were executed nicely to make the final cut. 

Also, this is without any captions. Its basically the scene we planned instead of the first Canteen scene in school

In this post i'll be showing you some of the editing techniques i used for each scene/film. 

Screenshot below is the sequence/timeline for Anas's night bed scene where he wakes up from the dream.

 

So here you can see the dots going up and down. Basically thats volume level in simpler terms. As the Editor & Director i knew where the each sound effect should be and where should it be faded and where db should be high or low. 

Here I had to each angle I took during production so I sort of created 5-6 layers for each angle I had and added them over different scenes.

I've been practising adobe premier pro for over 2 years. As mentioned before in my blog I started with editing Video Game montages back then. But now I wanted a new challenge thus why I chose media studies in my A levels 

For this project, i took things slow i started with editing one scene first then the second in different adobe projects. later i compiled them together and then made some changes for the final draft.

                                                                              

These are the film draft and scenes I edited separately.

I saved each edit adobe file separately so that I can make changes to a scene if needed 

Sound Editing For Project

  Sound

  As we know, sound is a very complicated aspect of editing. However, without sound there's simply no movie. its one of the main components that make up a good movie all together.

i spent most of my time on editing sound. it took me more than a day to gather all the sound effects for my movie

As shown in the screenshot above, i gathered almost 20 different sounds from Youtube then converted them into mp3 files. 

Choosing the right sound for the right moment can be challenging sometimes but sound as a whole does make the movie experience better for one
